Fun times in Indianapolis

Everyone knows the Indy 500, but there’s more to Indianapolis than watching expensive racing cars on the track at Memorial Day Weekend. If you’re wanting to plan a fun filled family visit to Indianapolis, charter a coach bus, party bus, mini bus, passenger coach or school bus from Charter Bus Indianapolis. Renting a charter bus allows you to give the family your full attention, while letting someone else do the driving.
Start your visit with a charter bus stop at the Indianapolis Art Center. Started in 1934, the Indianapolis Art Center is a not for profit community arts organization that strives to make art accessible to all. Situation on a 12 acre site bordered by the White River, the Indianapolis Art Center combines both art and the outdoors in one beautiful collage. Offering classes in woodworking, ceramics, painting and other mediums, families can learn art while taking home something fun.
Learning is fun at the Children’s Museum of Indianapolis. This huge, five-storey learning playground is a short charter bus ride away in Meridian Street. The largest Children’s Museum in the world, over a million children and their parents visit every year to enjoy interactive exhibits on science, history, art and culture. A visitor favorite is the Dinosphere, featuring life-size, roaring dinosaur skeletons and simulated fossil digs. Visitors can also catch a show at the Lilly Theater, or ride the fully-restored, fully-rideable antique carousel.
Just a few minutes charter bus ride away from Indianapolis’ downtown is scenic Eagle Creek Park, where you will find Go Ape. This unique and highly interactive treetop adventure is fun for the whole family. Featuring canopy walks, rope ladders, net bridges, trapezes, Tarzan swings and zip lines, Go Ape takes you high above the ground for an unforgettable experience. The course is made up of five individual sections, each taking you higher into the forest canopy and finishing with a zip line more exciting than the previous one. There are 38 crossings and obstacles, and the zip lines give you a view of Eagle Creek Reservoir.
Experience life on the prairie as it was back in 1836 with a visit to Connor Prairie. Located a 25 minute charter bus ride north of Indianapolis, Connor Prairie is an interactive, living museum, depicting life in a prairie town in the early 19th century. Visitors will take a step back in time, immersing themselves in the life of the town, meeting the townspeople, taking lessons in the schoolhouse, earning some wages by helping with chores, and spending their earnings at the store.
Allow Charter Bus Indianapolis to help you plan your next fun filled family vacation with our fleet of charter buses that can cater to any size family group, and friendly, personalized service.

A real Indy experience

Traveling to Indiana by charter bus or party bus with Charter Bus Indiana is always an enjoyable journey that takes you through one of the fastest growing metropolitan areas in the United States. Without a smidgen of doubt, using a rented charter bus in Indianapolis means that you are going to be able to see more, eat more, experience more, do more and simply enjoy more of what amazing Indianapolis has to offer to charter bus tour visitors like yourself.
While this capital city is soaring into the 21st century, it is also steeped in history. Since the 1900s, Indianapolis has become synonymous with the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, which hosts the famed Indy 500 and the Brickyard 500.
The historic circuit is also home to various other activities that are very much worth traveling all the way to Indianapolis to experience in a charter bus. In addition to watching the on-track action, visitors can also experience the on track experiences offered by the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
The Indy Racing Experience Driving Program gives each participant the chance to receive instruction from the highly trained instructors before suiting up and feeling the actual adrenalin rush of piloting a real IZOD IndyCar Series car that has competed in an actual Indianapolis 500 race and follow a lead IZOD IndyCar Series car around the fabled Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
Actual speeds achieved are dependent upon each participant’s comfort level in the car but from inside the helmet, you’d swear you’re in an actual race challenging Dario Franchitti in the car in front for the lead!
For those of you who’d rather be driven by a charter bus driver than drive, the Indy Racing Experience Two-Seat Ride allows you to experience all the speeds and g-forces previously experienced only by some of the world’s best motorsport racers.
For that undeniable adrenaline rush, charter bus rental vacation-goers can become participants when they take the chance to sit behind the driver in a purpose-built Dallara chassis that besides that one small modification to allow an extra seat is a true IZOD IndyCar Series car complete with an authentic racing engine that can power the car up to 180 mph.
Licensed teens who would like to improve their driving, can also experience a special instructional program called the Miles Ahead Teen Driving Intensive that is held exclusively at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
Similar to a sports camp, where new skills are practiced and honed, without the risk of injury or collision, classes are taught by professional race-car drivers from the Mazda Road to Indy and the IZOD IndyCar Series, where teen drivers receive professional, behind-the-wheel training in order to be better prepared for the hazards of driving on public roads.
Rest assured, the charter bus drivers provided by Charter Bus Indianapolis are highly trained but might not make your journey as brisk, but will be just as enjoyable.

Top Two Restaurants in Indianapolis To Have An Event In

Do you have a special occasion coming right up and having problems trying to decide on a restaurant because the options are endless? Worry not, you are not alone in this. As the local Indianapolis residents know it, the locals love their food and are bent on bringing as much variety to their table as possible.
Here are some of our charter bus Indianapolis customers' favorites.
The first one would have to be the ever-popular Oceanaire Seafood Room! You won't believe the kind of raving reviews we are getting about this seafood restaurant that can be found on S. Meridian St. Accordingly, the pricing of the food is set at a reasonable price; well worth the money because according to their representatives, fresh seafood is flown in on an everyday basis to ensure that they serve only the freshest of everything! So, you can expect your tuna, salmon, chinook or whatever your favorite seafood is, to be right out of the sea and into your tummy.
As far as atmosphere is concerned, we would have to say that Mama Carolla's Old Italian Restaurant on E 54th St. is a hands down winner of them all. The setting is Mediterranean while Mama Carolla serves you with very, very authentic Italian cuisine. The polite staff makes the experience there even more unforgettable because Italians are very serious about their food and putting customers' needs ahead of their own. There is the lighted garden patio for that romantic moment with your loved ones and then there is the fireplace and open bar to to soothe your wrangled nerves after a tough day. Mama Carolla's specialties is (predictably) the lasagna, rigatoni and many other different kinds of pastas. What makes Mama Carolla's really different from the other Italian restaurants is the fact that they kept it as close to authentic Italian food as possible – no twists, no turns, and no combos like in some modern Italian restaurants. It's traditional, it's authentic...end of story.

Tips for traveling on a budget

Traveling always takes a lot out of us, especially on the pocket. That’s why learning to travel on a budget without sacrificing any luxuries is skill that’s very valuable today. Luckily you’re already traveling smart when you book your trip by bus or limo with Charter Bus Indianapolis.
If you’re traveling in a group, you might want to consider renting a house or a condo rather than a hotel as it can work out to be a lot cheaper than paying for the same number of beds in a hotel. Renting is also a good idea for smaller destinations where hotels are scarce, or in major cities where hotels are ultra-expensive. If you still prefer the convenience of a hotel, opt for a small hotel rather than a chain hotel.
Another alternative is to swap houses. If you live in a popular location and you don’t mind letting a stranger sleep in your bed, you can join a home-exchange site where you can list your home and gain access to a database of other members’ homes worldwide to arrange a swap.
Remember to always talk extensively with your swapper and, if possible, ask for references. Plus, you might also want to invest in a safe and check your home insurance to see how guests are covered.
Another way to lower your costs would be to plan your travels to coincide with an off-season location. For example, going to go to Florida during Spring Break for a family vacation is definitely courting trouble. Instead of staying at your destination, you might want to consider picking a nearby town where you may get a similar experience for less.
For your sight-seeing, look up the places you are going to visit online first, to determine if there are daily, weekly, or combination passes that you can purchase ahead of time, and for a discount. Do note that while they may seem attractive, those all-inclusive packages that offer meals, activities and accommodation can cost more than doing it on your own.
So book early, book smart and you’ll be saving money from the time you step onto your Charter Bus Indianapolis or limo for your holiday trip.
